She Sees

She sees me.
Her eyes are closed
she’s dreaming.
Yet she knows,
I am here.

She sees me,
pragmatic,
taking everything in stride.
Yet she finds my wound
and softly kisses there.

She sees me,
shielded in ink,
belted in masculinity.
Yet she reaches her hand
to claim her wahine.
